Dedicated support
An Account Manager is assigned to every customer, with responsibility to ensure that the customer receives excellent after-sales support. This includes keeping the customer abreast of developments within Herman Miller such as the introduction of new products and services. In addition, we have a dedicated in-house team to assist our public sector customers.
Service Level Agreement
We have a Service Level Agreement in place as part of our Buying Solutions contract. Linked to a series of KPI’s, performance feedback is given at regular account meetings.
Training
We undertake training to demonstrate our products, for the benefit of end users. To ensure that training is easily assimilated, we are able to provide the following:

For an organization which manages its own churn, we offer training to the facilities team covering assembly, disassembly and movement of furniture. This is supported by videos and instruction booklets which can be uploaded to the customer’s intranet site.
Space planning
To support the customer with any moves or reconfiguring of the existing furniture layout, we provide space planning support.
Rapid lead times
Herman Miller’s unique lead time programme ensures prompt product availability, with shipment of basic systems components and selected seating / furniture products within the shortest possible 10 and 20 day lead times. This allows a rapid response to the customer’s ongoing needs for changes and modifications, without disturbance to working environments.
We offer a complete turnkey solution to support churn activities, to move, adapt and reconfigure furniture to meet the customer’s requirements.
Warehousing and inventory management
We provide support and guidance on warehousing and inventory management including document archiving.
Service manuals
We produce service manuals which contain product information and details on how to care for and maintain furniture, including cleaning instructions.
Removal and disposal of redundant furniture
We have in place a working relationship with Green Standards for the removal, reuse or recycling of redundant furniture.
